The Theatre comprises a 300-seat auditorium with the first row of seats removable to accommodate wheelchairs. The Theatre Foyer has the ticket office, toilets and bar with stairs to the Upper Foyer for access to the auditorium. The Upper Foyer also has a refreshments area which is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users. We aim to provide an accessible venue, but unfortunately some parts of the building are not accessible to wheelchair users.
Wheelchair accessible toilets are situated just outside the auditorium by the Lower Foyer exit door. An Induction Loop System has been fitted for the benefit of patrons with hearing aids.
The Theatre has its own car park on Park Street and supplementary parking is available at Riverside Mill for evening performances.
The Theatre and its facilities are also available to hire.
The auditorium has a seating capacity of 300. The seating is raked apart from the first two rows. Seats in the first row can be removed in pairs (prior notice is required at the time of ticket purchase) where we can accommodate up to 10 wheelchairs.Back to Top
There are two rehearsal rooms situated to the rear of the Theatre. Both of these rooms are approximately the
area of the stage. Room 1 has a mirrored wall and fixed ballet bars and a piano. The room has a shuttered
hatchway to a separate kitchen area. Room 2 is slightly larger. There is also a small Green Room
opposite the kitchen.
Male and female toilets and a separate shower room are in the rehearsal block and can be accessed by stairs or lift.
This is stocked on behalf of the Trust by the Bar Manager but staffed by member societies during their performances. All other hirers should contact the Bookings Manager.
This is at the side of the Theatre with a separate entrance and internal doors to the stage area. This is available to hire for set and scenery preparation.

Val Dorgan , who will provide details of availability and booking rates. Rates are available for hiring the theatre complex, rehearsal rooms, stage and workshop for rehearsals and shows.
Additional equipment including Yamaha piano, Audio equipment, Follow Spotlights and Smoke Machines can also be hired. At the time of booking any other requirements can be discussed with the Bookings Manager.
