This talented and award-winning company of young people is excited to bring this popular and enduring musical to Daneside Theatre. It follows the biblical story, from the book of Genesis, of Joseph and his eleven brothers. Joseph was the favourite son and was given a coat of many colours by his father, Jacob. His brothers were jealous and sold him to the Egyptians as a slave. But Joseph can interpret dreams which foretell the future and comes to the notice of the Pharoah, with a rapid rise in status. The well-loved songs span various musical genres including country, pop, calypso and rock ‘n’ roll. Suitable for all ages.

The Holdovers is a 2023 American comedy-drama film directed by Alexander Payne. Set in the winter of 1970–71, the film stars Paul Giamatti as a strict classics teacher at a New England boarding school who is forced to chaperone a handful of students with nowhere to go on the Christmas break. Oscar Winner Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Dominic Sessa play the school cafeteria manager and one of the students who stays on campus.

The  curmudgeonly teacher (Giamatti) soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War (Da'Vine).

While dad Mack is content to keep his family safe paddling around their New England pond forever, mom Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids—teen son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen—the whole wide world. After a migrating duck family alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family trip, via New York City, to tropical Jamaica. As the Mallards make their way South for the winter, their well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought possible, while teaching them more about each other—and themselves—than they ever imagined.

A 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a dark and absurd scandal in this riotous mystery comedy. Based on a stranger than fiction true story, WICKED LITTLE LETTERS follows two neighbours: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley). When Edith and fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities, foul-mouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar, and a trial ensues. However, as the town’s women - led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) - begin to investigate the crime themselves, they suspect that something is amiss, and Rose may not be the culprit after all.

The enchanting modern classic from Disney is ready for your Broadway Junior stars! Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway and West End musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. 

The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway and West End production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humour, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

    This exciting Pink Floyd tribute band return for what has now become an annual appearance following their highly acclaimed shows at Daneside Theatre in the last five years.
    Offering an engaging and energetic show, they have been especially praised for the accuracy of their performance based on the studio versions of music spanning the entire output of the Floyd from early days, with firm favourites Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall particularly featured. The music is enhanced by a fabulous light-show including Floyd's distinctive circular screen. All your favourites are featured, and maybe a couple of less familiar tracks for the real afficionado.

Based on the novel and the hit-movie of the same name, Legally Blonde: the Musical, chronicles the journey of the famously perky Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy, UCLA sorority girl who finds her life turned upside down when she is dumped by her boyfriend Warner. In an effort to prove to Warner that she is more than just some blonde sorority girl, she follows him to Harvard Law, where she struggles to fit in and do well. Ultimately, she defies expectations and manages to stay true to her delightfully pink personality.

The Scouts & Guides of Congleton have, for over 40 years, been proud to present their ever-popular biennial Gang Show, “OUR GANG”.

This “must-see” musical extravaganza is two years in the making as the cast of 100 young people and their leaders bring to The Daneside a unique action packed production full of colour, music, singing, dancing and comedy with something sure to appeal to all ages.

Please book early as there is always a big demand for this popular revue-styled show of family entertainment.
