  • Who Are We? About the Society.
    "Our Gang" isn't really a society at all, but is the Congleton Scouts and Guides Gang Show. The show is produced every two years, and although some members of the cast have appeared in a number of the shows since it started in 1972, many new members join the cast every production.

    About the Membership.
    The cast is made up of over 100 people every year, ranging from cubs and brownies, to the older leaders of the groups. The majority however are under 16.

    About the Audience.
    The audience is mostly made up of parents, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles of the cast, plus visiting Gang Shows from other parts of the country and other local Scouts/Guides. The show nearly always sells out.

    About the Programme.
    The last "Our Gang" was performed in 2005, the next will be at the end of November 2007. As well as being the centenary of Scouting, 2007 is also the 75th anniversary of Gang Shows - Ralph Reader CBE presenting the first show in London in 1932.
