Covid information

In order to keep everyone safe, we have a few extra rules for audience members at Daneside Theatre. These rules will apply from 14th September 2021 until further notice

Shows where we expect to be at more than 30% capacity - eg Live events

  1. To gain entry, You will be required to provide evidence of your covid status:
    • Proof of full vaccination – both doses received (with the second at least 14 days prior to the arrival at the venue); or
    • Proof of a negative NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test (test to be taken within 48 hours prior to attending the event at the venue); or
    • Proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of arrival at the venue (and after the 10-day self-isolation period following the result).
  2. The Bar will be open, but you should take your drinks back to your seats, drinking in the bar is not allowed.
  3. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or have tested positive, or if anyone in your household has symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, and if you develop symptoms while in the building, please leave at the earliest opportunity. Daneside Theatre reserve the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave if should you show symptoms of COVID-19.
  4. The theatre will open 30 minutes prior to the show time.
  5. Entrance to the building is via the front entrance. We will scan the barcode on your ticket at the entrance so we know who is attending. You are advised to “Check in” to the building using the NHS app as well. There are copies of the NHS QR code around the building. We will aim to get you into the theatre and seated as quickly as possible, but you may need to queue outside briefly. Please wear appropriate clothing for this eventuality.
  6. There are hand sanitiser points at various points in the building. Please use them on entry, and as required.
  7. When you enter the building, please go directly to your seats, observing the social distancing floor signs. There will be no waiting inside the building. If you need to meet friends or family, please wait outside.
  8. At the end of the show, please leave as quickly as possible, but ensure social distancing. Please do not wait in the narrow corridors, until you get to the car parks, and do not block other peoples egress.
  9. If you are not able to comply with these rules, please return your ticket for a full refund.
  10. Thank you for your continued support and understanding in these difficult circumstances. Please respect others and the COVID-19 measures in place. Help us to keep you and everyone safe.

Shows where we expect to be at less than 30% capacity - eg Films

  1. Tickets will be sold exclusively by Congleton Information Centre to ensure best spacing of seating.
  2. There will be limited numbers in the auditorium, with space at the sides of groups, and often to the front and to the rear.
  3. The Bar MAY be open before the show, but not during or after
  4. We require all audience members to wear a mask until you are seated. We ask that masks are worn during the show.
  5. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or have tested positive, or if anyone in your household has symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, and if you develop symptoms while in the building, please leave at the earliest opportunity.

  8. Our front of house toilets are not in use because of social distancing. The only toilets available are in the s mall foyer at the bottom right of the auditorium, but are available throughout the film. Please observe distancing if queueing for the toilets.
  9. There are hand sanitiser points at various points in the building. Please use them on entry, and as required.
  10. When you enter the building, please go directly to your seats, observing the social distancing floor signs. There will be no waiting inside the building. If you need to meet friends or family, please wait outside.
  11. There should be no more than 2 groups on any row, so you will not have to pass anyone else to get to an aisle.
  12. At the end of the show, once the credits roll, we will bring up the house lights. You will then be able to put on your masks, and leave via the doors at the bottom on the auditorium. Once you leave your seats, please leave as quickly as possible, but ensure social distancing. Please do not wait in the narrow corridors, until you get to the car parks, and do not block other peoples egress.
  13. If you are not able to comply with these rules, please return your ticket for a full refund.
